Thursday night some of the YSA boys took a few of us girls to Devonport. On the far coast of the city is a park filled with really fun trails to explore. Throughout the hills overlooking the harbor are old WWII bunkers, tunnels, and cannons/guns that were set up as lookouts/defenses during the war. The views were amazing. We sat on one of the hills overlooking the harbor and Auckland city across the way and watched the sun go down. It was so serene as we watched all the boats coming in for the night and the city come to life in the evening breeze.
